Mission

At Society for Rural Education & Empowerment, our mission is to empower rural communities by equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to build sustainable livelihoods and enriched lives.

We operate across some of the most remote and underserved regions, driving capacity-building through hands-on learning, internships, and apprenticeships, aligned with both current and future market trends. By nurturing “Thinking Hands,” we promote learning by doing, preparing individuals for self-reliance and meaningful engagement in the workforce.

We foster entrepreneurship and innovation by unlocking local and regional potential, helping rural youth and small businesses connect with larger markets through the smart use of technology and social media tools.

At the heart of our mission lies the belief that true empowerment begins within. We promote balanced development, encouraging good physical and mental health, mindful consumption, and inner well-being, enabling individuals to face life with clarity, confidence, and harmony.

“Our's is a society registered under the Societies Act, committed to promoting impactful social entrepreneurship initiatives across emerging fields. Founded by a group of inspired professionals, the society is driven by the collective resolve to transform knowledge into purposeful action, empowering communities in rural and semi-urban India. With over 25 years of deep-rooted experience across government and private sectors, our core members bring a rich and diverse understanding of development processes and local challenges.

Our multidisciplinary team comprises educationists, senior project managers, business development leaders, retired armed forces generals, economists, professors, engineers, doctors, and finance professionals. Together, they bring hands-on experience of working in remote and rural regions, enabling us to address issues with sensitivity, relevance, and pragmatism.

Education for Empowerment in Rural & Semi-Urban Segments

In our action & approach, education is not seen as an end in itself — but as a powerful means to transform lives. Our focus is on the outcome of education — particularly how it enables rural youth to access sustainable livelihood opportunities. We aim to dismantle barriers such as poor access to information, inadequate skills, and the gap between formal education and market demands.

To bridge this gap, we have launched initiatives that integrate formal education with skill development, on-the-job training, and employment facilitation. We actively collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of schools and institutions, adding value through structured interventions and efficient management.

We also recognize the cultural and economic importance of traditional arts and handicrafts. SREE Foundation is working to revitalize these skills among local communities by connecting them with modern design, product development, and market support through partnerships with professional firms and institutions. This end-to-end approach helps create meaningful livelihoods while preserving India’s rich artisanal heritage.
